A Review of Kidly Sustainable Clothing Range for Kids

As an eco-conscious parent, I know it’s really important to choose sustainable clothing for our little ones. While lots of kids clothing can be bought secondhand, sometimes you just need to buy something new, but sustainable clothing can be very expensive.

That’s why my recent discovery of Kidly's range of sustainable clothing for kids has been so exciting! In this comprehensive review, I’ll share my experience with Kidly's clothing collection and how we’ve found it works for us day-to-day.

Where is Kidly clothing made?

Sustainability Commitment:

What impresses me most about Kidly's sustainable clothing range is their transparent approach to sustainability, which you can read all about here. Everything from their fabrics to their packaging is conceived to be sustainable and ethical. In fact, Kidly ensure ethical manufacturing practices in all their products, so that their garments are produced in safe and fair working conditions. They use sustainable materials wherever they can, and are aiming to use 100% organic cotton in the very near future.

Fabric Quality

Fabric quality is one of the most important things in assessing the sustainability of clothing. Better quality clothing lasts longer, which means it’s less likely to need replacing. Kidly uses a variety of sustainable materials such as organic cotton, bamboo, and recycled fibres. The fabrics are very durable, standing up to plenty of wear and making them perfect for active kids like mine. You can definitely see in a difference in quality when compared to supermarket and high street brands - we have some Kidly pieces that have lasted much longer than ones from Asda and H&M.

Design and Style

Kidly's clothing range stands out for its simple yet beautiful designs. The colours and design of the pieces feel very on trend, and the colour palette - consisting mostly of earthy tones and soft pastels - means they can be easily mixed and matched. My kids always look so cute dressed in Kidly pieces, and I love how they make getting dressed much more straightforward, since I can grab any two things and they’re very likely to look good together!

Fit and Comfort

When it comes to kids' clothing, comfort is key. Kidly's range excelled in this area, with well-fitted pieces that allow for ease of movement. The garments are designed with kids in mind, featuring stretchy waistbands and soft seams that don’t irritate sensitive skin.

Value for Money

One of the best things about Kidly clothing is that it is very reasonably priced. Often sustainable clothing is very expensive, and therefore difficult to buy since childrens’ clothing is often worn for such a short time. However, Kidly’s prices are not much more than high street prices, making sustainable clothing accessible to more people.

swimwear

One of Kidly’s most successful ranges is their swimwear. Made from recycled fibres, their swimwear is beautiful designed and highly durable, so it will last through several children. Kidly also makes a very popular range of jelly shoes which are comfortable and come, like all Kidly products, in a really lovely range of colours. My children have been wearing these jelly shoes throughout the summer for the last few years so I can say from experience that they do last!
